Thirty years ago the fully qualified groom and show-jumper started breeding Holsteiner horses together with his father, and he has been fascinated by them ever since. “Once you have caught the bug, you can’t get rid of it,” laughs 47-year-old Christian.
Larger, lighter, airier – the new Röwer & Rüb loose boxes are really something else. The improvements make the popular all-rounder even more attractive for small and large stables, as the variable modular system adapts to your individual requirements - for two or 200 horses, with or without a paddock, in a row, across a corner or in a U-shape.
Internationally renowned thoroughbred Trainer Martyn Meade has entrusted 21st Century Horse Ltd with the internal design and fit out of 40 stables initially at his new Manton Estate facility near Marlborough.
Commenting on the appointment Mr. Meade said, “I saw what 21st Century had achieved at Rathmoy Stables in Newmarket and wanted the equivalent exceptional quality and engineering for Manton”. “This is the first time I have encountered this level of design and manufacturing expertise in this specialist market”.
Dominika and Amelie Empl fulfilled their dream of running their own riding facility when they established the Honsolgen Equestrian Centre in Buchloe.
The sisters have wanted their own riding facility from an early age, as they already inherited their enthusiasm for horses from their parents. They grew up with horses at home.
The successful horses of the future at the Blüggel stud farm in Hamm, Westphalia, are now accommodated in pens and horse stalls from Röwer & Rüb.
Ralf Blüggel has been successfully breeding Westphalian and Oldenburger sport horses since the end of the eighties. He attaches great importance to successful and well selected mare lines. In the meantime he has a number of mares with top genetics at his facility. The selection of top stallions, which are particularly suitable for breeding modern sport horses, also plays a central role.
Zuchthof Wadenspanner, a family business in Rottenburg – Pattendorf in Germany, was founded on the former grounds of a brewery.

The stud farm was founded in 1984 and expanded to an EU insemination station. Today Zuchthof Wadenspanner is run in the second generation by Walter Wadenspanner, junior with his wife Johanna Wadenspanner and his mother Maria Wadenspanner.
