Extension rather than installation – Lungeing arena with horsewalkers
“Oh, I would love to have a horsewalker like that!” is something that we often hear from our customers, “but we just don’t have any space for it.”
Sometimes you just need a little experience and imagination to find the perfect solution. The best example of this is the Teomatic horsewalker that has just been built in Sprockhövel.
Our customer did not want to reduce the size of the existing and cherished lungeing arena, with its diameter of 22 metres, by installing a subsequent horsewalker. What could be done then? The solution was simple yet sophisticated. Instead of building the horsewalker on the inside, we built it around the outside of the lungeing arena. This only required a little green space.
With the appearance of a slanted roof from the outside, the track roof was attached to the wall of the lungeing arena and equipped with a Teomatic ring horsewalker. This subsequently created a spacious and very pleasant-looking horsewalker with a diameter of 28 metres for up to 10 horses. As the lungeing arena’s outer wall is entirely preserved and encircled by standard fence elements, the running horsewalker in the arena also allows for concentrated lungeing work.
In practice, both the Teomatic ring horsewalker and the oval horsewalker offer a high level of flexibility in the planning stage. The free space in the inside means that obstacles such as trees or even complete lungeing areas can simply be built around, whereby even narrow spaces can be put to good use. We are happy to show you more possibilities.
