Hamburg meets Bavaria
(Fraunberg) A great deal has happened this year at the Birkenhof stud farm. The barn has been renovated and a horsewalker was installed.
The Birkenhof stud farm, located in a secluded setting near Fraunberg in Bavaria, is a beautiful place to breed and train horses. Peace, a relaxed atmosphere, a very well-tended environment and a committed team offer equestrian training and sport at a very high level.
Daniela Böttcher, manager of the farm, is justifiably proud of her team and their equestrian centre. The sporting successes confirm that she has taken the right decisions. Her son Daniel already acquired the Gold riding badge when he was 18 and won the national young riders' prize. Her husband Wolf-Dieter Böttcher is a very successful instructor of horse trainers who are often able to crown their qualifications with the Stensbeck medal. This is a family-run enterprise par excellence.
The renovation of the centre this year was a formidable challenge but one which was very worthwhile. The barn was equipped with the Röwer&Rüb "Hamburg" stables. The fully covered lungeing arena and the separate horsewalker with a roofed track, also supplied by Röwer&Rüb, meet the specifications of the current mandatory technical standard for steel structures EN1090. The riding arena was refurbished, the paddocks and meadows were re-fenced. The project has now been finished and is a complete success. Alongside the 50 stables, the team and owners have an indoor arena, a dressage arena and a jumping course at their disposal.
We wish the team at the Birkenhof stud farm continuing impetus and energy as well as much success in their breeding and sporting activities. We would also like to express our thanks for the great collaboration and confidence in our products.
