Holsteiner horses at home in German horse stables in York
Jamie Gornall has created a small paradise for himself and his horses in the county of York in the north of England.
The British show-jumping champion has once more settled in his homeland after riding in Germany for many years. He was trained by Janne Friederike Meyer, Ludger Beerbaum and Rolf Göran Bengtsson. Di Lampert and John Whittaker also influenced his equestrian career. Today Jamie Gornell is a successfully international rider.
Although he only started riding as a teenager, his equestrian passion is stronger than ever. The farm in Kirk Hammerton is now home to Gornall Equestrian. Here around 20 horses are always undergoing training to become outstanding sporting competitors. The equestrian centre is perfectly designed for training sport horses. The old farm building was renovated and a stable building was extended. A racing track, outdoor areas and generous pastures round off the ensemble.
The horse stables, doors, barn doors and windows came from Germany. Various stable models such as “Bremen”, “Hamburg” and “Hannover” were installed in the various wings. Our partner 21st Century Horse provided excellent support for the project and was always at hand to give the Gornall Equestrian team professional advice.
We wish Jamie Gornall much success and would like to thank him for his confidence in Röwer & Rüb and our partner 21st Century Horse.
